~ 60" wingspan. ~ 36" overall length. ~800 sq.in.wing area. ~ 19 ounce flying weight. The Lazy Hawk is a CAD designed, CNC manufactured 3 channel RC ornithopter. It comes "almost ready to fly" ( ARF) with a high level of pre-assembly.

With a completely re-vamped fuselage and gear drive, this latest Lazy Hawk is better than ever. It now has a new improved main frame design and wing. The over-sized wing area provides super low wing loading which makes this bird a real floater. Couple that with higher power to weight, and the result is superior overall performance.

The Lazy Hawk can alternate between flapping and gliding flight at your command. It has a soft, gentle glide when locked in with the glide-loc, but also glides well with the wings in the up position for fail safe landings.

 - new more powerful high Kv brushless outrunner motor
 - new velcro system for mounting battery, ESC, and receiver
  -new G-10 spar ferrule assemblies
 - and now comes standard with brushless ESC!

The Lazy Hawk  comes with standard Kinkade "glide-loc" device and an exclusive shock mounted o-ring tail assembly that greatly reduces the risk of servo damage. Wingsail and tail are made from top quality zero porosity, UV resistant, polycarbonate coated rip-stop fabric and Dacron. The fuselage frame is CNC machined from durable G-10 epoxy-glass which is weatherproof and extremely durable yet light. Kit features solid carbon wing spars, Delrin and steel gears, precision CNC machined aluminum parts, large choice of colors, high efficiency design.

Assembles in one evening with basic hand tools. No gluing required. Only blue Loc-tite is needed for securing screws on flapping mechanism.

Requires basic RC flying skills. For 3 channels: rudder, elevator, and motor control. Hand launched.  Designed to fly on 2 cell lipo battery packs only.
